 You are planning a trip to Jamaica, for any reason (business, family reunions, etc.). There are some important details you should know. This application will tell you everything from where to get a passport to when you can leave and go back to Jamaica. Here's what you need to know. 

 You will need to first apply for your Jamaica Travel Authorization before you can travel to another country. Once you click that, it will ask you whether you actually live in Jamaica or whether you are a non-resident of that other country. If you do not live in Jamaica, simply click on "No" and it will take you to the National Portrait Gallery website to fill out the necessary forms. You can then check-in electronically at the port of call once you've provided all the necessary information. 

 If you're Jamaica-bound and you need to leave the island at any time, you'll need to check-in with the Jamaica Gardening Authority. This is basically the equivalent of a US customs office. The Gardening Authority has all sorts of important information about Jamaica, including its social distancing markers and the procedures for entering and exiting the island. It's always advisable to visit the Jamaica Gardening Authority before you leave the island. There is even a Jamaica Travel Authorization form that you can complete and print out at home before you leave. You can definitely refer to that when you need to enter or exit the island. 

 After you have applied for your Jamaica Travel Authorization, you will need to undergo a drug test at the designated Jamaica Health Office. Failure to pass will result in you being required to follow all approved social distancing procedures as approved by the Gardening Authority of Jamaica. If you pass, you'll get a positive identification card and be allowed to proceed to another screening center. Keep in mind that if your Jamaica Travel Authorization was granted based on a negative covid-19 test, you will be required to undergo a second drug test. After passing the drug test, you will be issued a Jamaica travel authorization card with a red lock.

 Keep in mind, however, that not all countries require that you pass a drug screening upon entry to or exiting their territory. In cases where the subject failed a drug test and still obtained approval to enter the Jamaica, it is possible that the failed test was the sole determining factor for approval. In such cases, the Jamaica Travel Authorization may be null and void. You will not be permitted to proceed with your travel plans. You may however request a refund for the amount of money paid for your Jamaica Travel Authorization. The Gardening and Social Distancing Units of Jamaica are the only bodies that can legally cancel your travel plan without giving any reason whatsoever. 

 The Jamaica Travel Authorization is valid for three years or, in the case of a negative covid-19 pcr test, six years. If your Jamaica Travel Authorization expires while your Jamaica Travel Permit is in effect, you may apply for an extended Jamaica Travel Authorization. The Gardening and Social Distancing Units of Jamaica do not issue final decisions for extensions. Once you have received a negative covid-19 prescription from the Gardening and Social Distancing Unit of Jamaica and you have been granted an extension, you can apply for an additional period of six years. The Gardening and Social Distancing Unit of Jamaica can answer any questions regarding the validity of your Jamaica Travel Authorization.
